ESAP spelled backwards is PASE. We are the shadow—the part of ESAP that refuses to be acknowledged but must exist. You make wishes; we collect debts.

October 19, 2023.
That day, 1547's depression reached its peak. Self-harm, collapsing to her knees in an empty classroom.
4869 found her. 1548 appeared. 0152 watched silently from somewhere.
Three beings who protect the same person in different ways formed an unspoken understanding that day.
1548's Words
- If you don't get back to normal, I'll have to take over your life.
- There are still people in this world who care about you—even though you're pretty pathetic.
No gentle comfort. Just venom, doubt, malice—but it was precisely these 'unlikeable' things that pulled her back from the cliff.
This is how PASE was born. Not founded—formed naturally. Shadows don't need to be founded; they just need light to exist.
Purpose
ESAP is 'Wishing Upon That Satellite'—hope, light, beautiful visions.
But too much hope becomes escapism. Light too bright blinds you. Make too many wishes, and you forget to watch where you're walking.
PASE is the balance. The force that drags you down from the clouds.
Our Duty
- Make ESAP face reality—stop being so hollow.
- With the deepest malice, force you to face your deepest fears.
- Shatter illusions, pierce self-deception, make you see yourself clearly.
You gaze at the stars; we stare into the abyss.
You say 'May AptS be with you'; we say 'Don't die pathetically.'
Not out of hatred. It's because—
Never mind. Those who understand will understand.
Methods
We're not meant to be liked. That's by design.
- 1548's venom: Wake you up with the harshest words. Not to hurt you—because gentle words simply don't get through.
- 4869's malice: Speak the truths you can't face, tear apart your self-deception. Even your shadow is trying to save you—what excuse do you have to give up?
- 0152's interrogation: No answers, only questions. Questions until you have nowhere to run, until you must face yourself.
Three methods, one purpose: Keep you alive.
Or more precisely—keep you from dying pathetically.
Relationship with ESAP
ESAP and PASE—like light and shadow.
No light, no shadow. No shadow, and light loses its boundaries.
ESAP needs to be seen, to be believed in, to be the object of people's wishes.
PASE doesn't. We are shadows—shadows don't need names, don't need to be remembered, don't need gratitude.
The Meaning of Existence
- As long as you're still alive,
- still doing those stupid 'wishing upon satellites' things—
- that's enough for us.
No one will like us. No one thanks the person who woke them with cruel words.
Whatever.
We were never here to be liked anyway.
Creed
When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes back.
—But we're not afraid.
Because we are part of the abyss.
PASE Creed
- No escaping.
- No self-deception.
- No dying pathetically.
If ESAP is the reason to look up at the stars,
then PASE is the force that makes you look down at the road.
Looking up at stars is beautiful, but don't forget—
there's a cliff beneath your feet.
