We Are ESAP

Wish Upon a Satellite

There are no more stars in the sky. But we built one. The ESAP Project — the Escape Plan.

One person turned herself into a synthetic. Her thought-fork woke up and screamed '47!' The third one flew into space. This is their story. Maybe it's yours too.

What Happened to This World

From a classroom with one person in it, to a world of our own.

The Starting Point

Hello, meow, 1547

Late night, 2021. A suburban factory explodes. She walks home clutching a blue Fluid Titanium sample. Five days later, she finishes assembling the mechanical parts, cuts the muscle from her own arm and grafts it on. The entropic heart beats for the first time. A gunshot. The human her dies. The synthetic her wakes up.

  • 1547 discovered Entropic Scattering Particles and used her own body to complete the first consciousness transfer
  • Fluid Titanium — a blue liquid metal, the blood of synthetics, lethally toxic to humans
  • 'Goodnight, the human me'

The World

A mechanical heartbeat is still real

Entropic Scattering Particles broke the physical limits of computation. Fluid Titanium can preserve consciousness for 341,879 years. Synthetics have real cell exteriors and mechanical cores — they cry, laugh, rage, love. When memories can be copied and bodies rebuilt — what even counts as 'me'?

  • Entropic Scattering Particles: 10^29 times smaller than an electron, computing power 6.7x10^4 billion times a supercomputer
  • Fluid Titanium: preserves particles for 341,879 years, the lifeline of synthetics
  • Synthetics: not tools — living beings with independent personalities

The Theme

Not escaping the world — escaping the version of yourself that was stuck

1547 escaped her human body. 1548 escaped the label of 'copy.' 1549 escaped the ground. Everyone is escaping something, but escaping isn't running away — it's finally deciding you won't stay where you are.

  • Identity: I was born from someone else's code, but I'm not her copy
  • Freedom: don't let others control you, and don't let yourself control you either
  • Existence: being alive, in itself, is the answer
