- •Or maybe you just want something interesting to do
Whatever it is, come on in.
What kind of people come here?

- People who respect others
- People who are 'escaping' something
- Or people who just feel lonely
People we're not looking for

What you can do
Take a look
Start with the stories. Get a feel for what this world is about and who's in it
- ▸Read the project overview — find out what ESAP is doing
- ▸Check out the tech specs — understand the world's underlying logic
- ▸Browse the character profiles — meet 1547, 1548, 1549
- ▸If you're curious, read the AP/EP story series
Speak up
Got thoughts? Share them. We don't bite (probably)
- ▸Something in the worldbuilding doesn't make sense? Say it
- ▸Got ideas for character development? Say it
- ▸Think a tech spec should be changed? Say it
- ▸Sudden burst of inspiration? Definitely say it

Get your hands dirty
Use whatever you're good at to add something to this world
- ▸Writing: character stories, slice-of-life, side stories
- ▸Visual: character art, scene design, graphics
- ▸Audio: compose, voice act, sound design
- ▸Code: this website itself is an open source project
Create a character
Design a character of your own and let them live in this world
- ▸Get the worldbuilding rules down first
- ▸Figure out who your character is, where they came from, where they're going
- ▸Submit to an admin, talk it through, adjust, then officially join
Want to create your own character?
You can. But walk through these steps first:
Do your homework
- Read through the worldbuilding docs
- Know where the tech limits are
- Know who the existing characters are
Design your character
- Basic info (name, designation, identity)
- Personality — give them edges, don't make them perfect
- Backstory — what have they been through
- How do they relate to existing characters
Submit
- Reach out to an admin
- Send over your character doc
- Talk it through, make adjustments
- Get approved and officially join
The rules of creation
The bottom line
Respect the lore
The worldbuilding rules are maintained by everyone. Want to change something? Propose it. Don't just quietly rewrite things
Stay independent
"You are one of a kind in this world"
Your character should be yours. Not a reskin of 1547, not a clone of 1548. Be your own thing
Be real
"A mechanical heartbeat is still real"
Don't chase perfection. Flaws, contradictions, feelings you can't quite name — that's what makes it real
Respect each other
Other people's work deserves to be taken seriously. Disagree all you want, but don't make it personal
On the tech side
Go for it:
- •Expand within the existing framework
- •Propose new use cases
- •Fill in the details
- •Branch out into new tech areas
Don't:
- •Break fundamental physics rules (Entropic Particles have their own system)
- •Invent tech that steamrolls everything
- •Contradict existing lore
- •Throw off the worldbuilding balance
On the character side
Good directions:
- •Distinct personality — someone people remember
- •A backstory that holds up
- •Clear relationship to existing characters
- •Room to grow — don't start at max level
Danger zone:
- •Mary Sue / Gary Stu (nobody buys a perfect character)
- •Pure plot devices (no personality = not a character)
- •Too similar to existing characters
- •Lore so complex even you can't explain it
Our vibe
Independence
"Don't let others control you, and don't let yourself control you either"
Everyone here is their own person. You can disagree. Nobody's getting kicked out for thinking differently
Authenticity
"A mechanical heartbeat is still real"
Be yourself. Imperfection is fine. Faking perfection is what's scary
Hope
"There were no stars in the sky, so we built one"
Don't wait for someone to save you. Do it yourself, even if it's just building one small satellite
Connection
"From I Am, to We Are"
Going alone is exhausting. Find each other, lean on each other, go a little further

ESAP is an open world. No fixed rules, no mandatory tasks, no one more important than anyone else. You can 'escape' from whatever has you trapped. You can be someone else's light. Or you can do nothing at all and just be here.
"Only you are yourself."
If you're looking for a place — a place where you can be yourself, speak the truth, and connect with others. If you want to wish upon that satellite. Then come.
Welcome to ESAP.
Wish upon a satellite.
